While I have gotten some more work done on my Cobalt Lake, Bugaboos painting, the weather has been very dark and grey for the past several weeks making it difficult to continue. I did find that if I could hold my working surface close to the window that it was bright enough to work.
Having discovered that, I decided to set aside the large painting for now and work on a couple of small bird paintings that have been calling to me. The really fun part of working on Chickadee and Nuthatch was watching the real birds flit amongst the trees and feeders less than a couple of metres away outside the window where I was working. They really are delightful creatures.
